Appointment Pointers!
Bring all medications you are taking to each and every visit.
Even over the counter medications, like vitamins.
This is important so our records are kept accurate and your refills can be cataloged. Make sure to bring all medications in their original containers.
Be prepared to wait!
The nature of a medical practice is full of uncertainty and delays. If the doctor is running behind schedule, you may want to inquire with the receptionist how long the wait will be or even consider rescheduling. Try not to schedule other important appointments right after your visit in case we are running behind.
Dr. Joe is in a solo practice and takes his own calls.
This means he is on duty 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Please be considerate of calls to the office AFTER hours and on weekends and holidays.
Urgent Care Centers.
Several very good after hours and weekend urgent care centers are now available in our community. Dr. Joe encourages the use of these facilities. It is better for a physician, physician assistant or nurse practitioner to see a patient than to treat over the phone.
Test Results.
It is Dr. Joe's goal to inform his patients of all test results that he has ordered. Either a call to the patient or a follow up visit is needed to review all test results. If you haven't recieved a call for your test results within a week, please call the office at 610.353.5840.
